Dr. Unconventional: Exploring Tech’s Potential and Continued Barriers in Community Health

Sponsored By

All industries are impacted by technology, but we still have issues that slow the growth and success of technology in transforming community health. We can’t keep having the same conversations with people who agree with us. Community health challenges need fresh ideas, and technology's potential remains untapped and potentially unconnected if we’re only talking to each other. This panel breaks us out of our own echo chamber by inviting leaders across disciplines—climate advocates, chemists, healthcare informatics, and physicians—to ask the bold questions no one else is asking; why isn’t tech solving these problems yet? Why do the barriers continue to exist? And what would it take for technology to truly transform community health?

Moderator: Dr. Phillip Levy, Wayne State University

Dr. Margarita Hernandez, Chingona Consulting
